The challenge in a nutshell

The Jura Bike Marathon, the MB Race, the Grand Raid BCVS and the Forestière have come together under a common label to offer you a unique challenge: the MTB Alpine Cup.

These 3 major races share a common geographical denominator: the Alpine arc.
The aim is to showcase our regions through 4 exceptional races. These 4 events offer participants the opportunity to discover 4 extraordinary playgrounds around the most beautiful Alpine massifs, such as Mont Blanc.

To take part in the MTB Alpine Cup is to push your limits even further! With more than 436 km and 17,000 m of D+ accumulated over the 4 races, the MTB Alpine Cup is an “out of category” challenge.

Jura Bike Marathon

May 19, 2024

The first Jura Bike Marathon by Scott was held in 2019. “With this race, we want to help you discover the most beautiful spots in the Swiss Jura Massif. Vallorbe is famous for its caves, which contain magnificent limestone landscapes sculpted by the Orbe River. Close and accessible, we’re less than 1h15 from Besançon, Geneva and Bern. Our flagship XC marathon has been part of the UCI C1 circuit since 2021. An attractive 71km course with 2750m of ascent takes you through the region’s finest singles. It takes you through our region’s gorges, spruce forests and two Jura peaks. The first part takes you towards Le Suchet (alt.1587m). A panoramic view of the entire Alpine range awaits you, with Lake Neuchâtel and the town of Yverdon-les-Bains, capital of the Nord Vaud region, below. Crossing the Viaduc du Day marks the transition to the 2nd section towards the Dt de Vaulion (alt. 1482m). You arrive at this summit with a portage that gives you a breathtaking view of the Vallée de Joux and its lake” Samuel, race director of the Jura Bike Marathon

MB Race

June 29, 2024

The MB Race has been running since 2010. This mountain biking event offers races as demanding as they are breathtaking in the exceptional setting of the Pays du Mont-Blanc. The villages of Combloux, Megève, La Giettaz, Praz-sur-Arly Flumet and many others are the weekend playground for almost 3,000 mountain bike and landscape enthusiasts.
This event stands out in the mountain bike panorama as the only one to feature such a long-distance, one-day race: 140 km and 7,000 meters of ascent. A race that counted

just 1 finisher out of 600 riders in 2010, earning it the distinction of being the toughest race in the world! For a number of years now, this flagship race, the MB Ultra Somfy, has been listed as Hors Classe. This year, the race takes place on Saturday, July 1 in Megève. So, are you ready to take up the challenge and join the elite circle of MB Finishers?

ATTENTION, as this year’s MB Ultra Somfy supports the l’UCI Marathon World Cup, the Alpine Cup stage will be on the 100 km for both men and women.

Grand Raid BCVS

The GRAND RAID BCVS is one of the world’s leading mountain bike Marathon races.

The GRAND RAID BCVS is part of the XCM (Cross Country Marathon) category. It is listed on the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) and Swiss Cycling calendars. This enables licensed riders to earn points in the international rankings.
In mountain biking circles, the GRAND RAID BCVS has become a legendary race.

La Forestière

September 15, 2024

La FORESTIERE is a legendary race on the French calendar. This autumn legend is a point-to-point race, the oldest in France.
For 30 years, thousands of mountain bikers have been setting off from the heart of the Jura Nature Park on Rando d’Or FFC courses of all levels, ranging from 35 to 100 km, to reach the town of Arbent in the Plastic Valley. Two days of festivities with an exhibitors’ village in Arbent and a host of events.
The highlight of the event is undoubtedly the 100 km MTB and 75 km MTB races on the UCI calendar and the final of the MTB Alpine Cup Challenge. With 2900 meters of ascent, this is not the toughest MTB marathon on paper, but the distance, the varied and rugged terrain of the Jura Mountains, and the vagaries of the weather make this race a legend…
