The MB Race takes place in the villages of Megève and Combloux on Friday July 4, Saturday July 5 and Sunday July 6, 2025, and features 8 events.

B. Race presentation

MB ultra Somfy

The MB Ultra Somfy is an ultra-marathon mountain bike competition. The race offers a choice of 3 distances from a single start: 70 km, 100 km or 140 km.

Open to everyone from the Espoir category upwards
Limited to 1000 runners
Event run individually regardless of distance

MB Explore

The MB Explore is a mountain bike competition. The race offers a choice of 3 distances from a single start: 20 km, 35 km or 55 km.

Open to everyone from the Cadet category upwards over the 20km distance.

MB eRando ATMB

The MB eRando ATMB event is an untimed ride exclusively for electrically-assisted mountain bikes. The race offers a choice of 3 distances from the same start: 20 km, 35 km or 55 km.

Open to everyone aged 14 and over with parental consent.
Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by their legal guardian or an adult designated by their parents.
All participants must be fit for mountain biking.
Event run individually regardless of distance

MB Enduro

The MB Enduro is a mountain bike enduro competition with 5 timed stages. The race takes place on a course of timed stages, mainly downhill, with up to 20% of the total gradient covered by pedaling. The track encourages technical riding in all conditions. The links between stages are not timed, but are defined in a time limit that each competitor must pass.

The MB Enduro is open to all: men and women, licensed and non-licensed, from the Cadet Men/Junior Women category (15 years) upwards – on presentation of parental authorisation.

MB Mimines

The MB Minimes event is a timed 12 km mountain bike competition.

Date: Sunday, July 6, 2025
Departure: 9:15 a.m. from Combloux
Arrival: Megève

Open to all 13 and 14 year olds on presentation of parental authorization and a health questionnaire accepted by our service provider Dokeop.
All participants must be fit for mountain biking.

MB Kids

The MB Kids event is a timed mountain bike competition for children.

Date: Saturday, July 5, 2025
Start: 9:30 am in Combloux (Lac du Biotope)
Arrival: 1:30 pm in Combloux (Lac du Biotope)

Open to all children aged 5 to 12 with parental consent.
Open to licensees and non-licensees.

MB Draisienne

The MB Draisienne event is a Draisienne competition for children aged 2 to 4.

Date: Sunday, July 6, 2025
Start: 9:00 am in Combloux (Pumptrack)
Finish: Combloux (Pumptrack)

Open to all children aged 2 to 4 with parental consent.

A. How to register

Entries are open to all from Monday, December 2, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. and can be accessed online at www.mb-race.com. which links to the Livetrail-Njuko registration platform. The deadline for online registrations is midnight on Thursday, July 3, 2025 – subject to places still being available on that date.

Please note that a registration is considered valid once the entry fee has been paid and a license, medical certificate or health questionnaire has been presented and validated by the organization. If the race is full, a waiting list will be set up. Race numbers will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants concerned will be contacted by the organization to inform them of the possibility of registering. Participants will then have 48 hours to finalize their registration.

B. Rates and payment

The registration fee is as follows:

  • MB Ultra Somfy (70 – 100 – 140 Km): €85
  • MB Explore (20 – 35 – 55 Km) : 46 €
  • MB Explore Cadets (20 Km) : 36 €
  • MB eRando ATMB (20 – 35 – 55 Km) : 46 €
  • MB Enduro : 49 €
  • MB Minimes : 20 €
  • MB Kids : 15 €
  • MB Draisienne : 5 €

A handling fee will be applied in addition to the registration fee.

Entry fees must be paid by midnight on Thursday, July 3, 2025. After this date, competitors who have not paid their entry fees will be considered as not starting.

When registering, participants can subscribe to certain options:

  • Accompanying meal: €12 per person
  • Personalized jersey with the name and nationality of the participant: €85 per limited edition jersey and €79 per classic personalized jersey.

C. Included in registration

D. Number allocation

Race numbers are allocated by the organizers. It takes into account the UCI ranking and points, as well as the participant’s track record and results if he or she has already taken part in the same race.

Please note: requesting a priority race number at registration does not guarantee a priority race number for the start of the race.


E. Number collection

For the MB Ultra Somfy, bib collection will take place on Friday, July 4, 2025 in Megève from 2pm to 9pm in the parking lot of the Palais des Sports de Megève.

For the MB enduro, bib collection will take place on Saturday July 5, 2025 from 2pm to 8pm in Megève (Parking du Palais des Sports) and on Sunday July 6 from 7am to 7.45am in Megève (Parking du Palais des Sports).

For the MB explore, MB eRando, MB Minimes, bib collection will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Megève (Palais des Sports parking lot) and on Sunday, July 6 from 6:30 am to 8:30 am on the 1st floor of the Combloux Tourist Office.

For the MB Kids, numbers will be collected on Friday July 4, 2025 from 2pm to 9pm at the Palais des Sports parking lot in Megève and on Saturday July 5 from 8am to 9am at the Lac du Biotope in Combloux.

For the MB Draisienne, numbers will be collected on Saturday July 5, 2025 from 2pm to 8pm in Megève (Palais des Sports parking lot) and on Sunday July 6, 2025 from 9am to 10am at the Pumptrack in Combloux.

Each competitor must present the following documents when collecting their number:

  • For licensees: a 2025 license showing a valid medical certificate and competitive cycling. The licenses accepted are UCI, FFC, FSGT, FFTRI, UFOLEP, mentioning the medical certificate and the practice of cycling / mountain biking in competition.
  • For non-members: a medical certificate of non-contraindication to the practice of mountain biking/bicycling in competition, dated less than one year before the day of the race and signed by a health professional – i.e. dated no later than July 5, 2024.
  • For all: registration confirmation (digital or paper)
  • Pour tous : une pièce d’identité

Please note: if you do not present the above-mentioned documents, the organizers will not be able to issue your number and you will not be allowed to start the race.

The Organizer entrusts DOKEOP SAS with the management of supporting documents via its application. Ses missions auprès de l’organisateur sont de :

  • Collect supporting documents from athletes registered for the sporting event
  • Check that the Supporting Documents comply with the regulations of the Sporting Event and/or the regulations of the Federation concerned and/or the legislation in force, as the case may be.
  • Regular email reminders to athletes who have not yet submitted their supporting documents.
  • Communicate the status of each Justificatif Document checked to the Organizer of the Sporting Event: Awaiting verification / Validated / Refused.
  • Communicate the status of each Registration (Dokeop side) to the Event Organizer: Waiting for document / Waiting for new document / Waiting for verification / Validated / Refused / Cancelled.
  • Archive supporting documents on a secure server.

To finalize their registration for a sporting event, participants receive an email from Dokeop inviting them to submit their document to the application within a given timeframe, the terms of which are set by the event organizer.

Use of the Application implies immediate and unconditional acceptance of Dokeop’s terms and conditions. The user must then follow the link to the Application. The user is free to create a member account or not. The Application is independent of the sports event registration platform used by the organizer.

The Participant or legal representative guarantees the truthfulness and accuracy of the data transmitted, as well as the authenticity of the Supporting Document at the time of submission. If the Supporting Document is not accurate and/or authentic, the Athlete or legal representative may not under any circumstances take legal action against either Dokeop or the Organizer, particularly in the event of an accident occurring during his/her participation in a Sporting event.

Dokeop reserves the right to refuse any document it deems suspicious or possibly falsified, based on a number of clues. Please note that the production of a false medical certificate constitutes an offence of forgery and use of forgeries, article 441-1 of the French Criminal Code Code Pénal punishable by up to three (3) years’ imprisonment and a 45,000 euro fine.

It is specified that any Supporting Document submitted by an Athlete or his/her legal representative must meet the requirements set out in the French Sports Code (articles L231-2 et seq.) for Athletes who wish to practice within the federal framework because they wish to take part in a sporting competition authorized by a sports federation.

Medical certificates must mention: (i) the absence of any contraindication to the practice of the sport or discipline concerned “in competition” or “as a leisure activity”, (ii) be dated less than one year before the date of the competition for participation in a competition without a license and (iii) include the contact details, signature and stamp of the doctor who carried out the examination of the athlete.

In the case of disciplines with special requirements, as set out in article L231-2-3 of the French Sports Code, a medical certificate less than one (1) year old must be provided, stating that there are no contraindications to the practice of the discipline concerned, only when obtaining the first license and then when renewing it.

In accordance with article D. 231-1-4-1 of the Code du Sport, for minors, in order to register for a sporting competition covered by article L. 231-2-1, the athlete and the persons exercising parental authority must jointly complete a health questionnaire, the content of which is specified in article A. 231-3 of the Code du Sport.

The persons exercising parental authority over the minor athlete must certify to the Organizer that each section of the questionnaire has been answered in the negative. Failing this, they are required to produce a medical certificate attesting to the absence of contraindication to the practice of the sport or discipline concerned “in competition” or “in leisure”, dated less than six (6) months.

Dokeop accepts Supporting Documents written in the languages accepted by the regulations of the federation of the discipline concerned. Unless otherwise specified in the regulations, only Supporting Documents written in French or in a foreign language with a French translation will be accepted. The content of the French translation is deemed authentic in relation to the foreign-language content.

A. Modification of registration

Participants can modify certain information on their runner profile at any time via the registration platform. In the event of changes to contact details, or important information, please inform the organization by e-mail at contact@mb-race.com.

No transfer of registration is permitted for any reason whatsoever. Any person transferring his or her number to a third party will be held responsible in the event of an accident occurring or caused by the third party during the event. The organization declines all responsibility in the event of such an accident.

It is therefore forbidden to resell a race number.

B. Individual cancellation

All participants in one of the races can take out cancellation insurance when they register. No refunds will be possible without the BeTicketing cancellation guarantee. This “cancellation” insurance is offered at the time of registration on the registration platform, before the order is validated.

This option allows the participant, under certain conditions established by the insurer chosen by the organizer, to be reimbursed for the registration fees paid.

A. Conditions of participation

To be allowed to start, competitors must comply with the following criteria:

  • Have paid the registration fee,
  • Comply with the present regulations,
  • Comply with the compulsory equipment (see event schedule).
  • Present the required documents at the registration desk (see section on registrations and race numbers).
  • Be at least in the Espoirs category to take part in the MB Ultra Somfy.
  • Be at least in the Cadet category to take part in the MB Explore.
  • Must be at least 14 years old to take part in the MB eRando ATMB

The organizers reserve the right to refuse entry to any competitor.

B. Categories

The events are open to all, licensed and non-licensed alike.

Only the year of birth is taken into account when assigning participants to categories.

For the MB Ultra Somfy, the categories are those defined by the FFC for the French XCM Championships, in bold below. and will be applied for the MB Ultra Somfy outside the French Championships. The different categories per event are those specified below:

C. MB Ultra Somfy | Support French Marathon Championship Elites and Masters

French XCM Elite Championships

The participating categories are as follows:

  • Men’s Elite: 19 and over
  • Women’s Elite: 19 and over

Competitors must be of French nationality and hold a license from a UCI-affiliated federation, Men or Women, Elite, Open 1, Open 2 or Open 3.

Championnats de France XCM Masters

Les compétiteurs doivent être français, âgés de 35 ans et plus, titulaires d’une licence à l’année souscrite auprès de la FFC ou de l’UCI, autorisant la pratique du VTT en compétition (licences Open 1, Open 2, Open 3, Accès 1, Accès 2, Accès 3, Accès 4 et Licence Epreuves de Masse à l’exception, toutefois :

  • Riders who, during the current season starting on January 1, 2025, have been in the UCI Mountain Bike – Ranking XCO & XCM,
  • Riders who have been members of a UCI-registered team during the current year,
  • Professional racers

Please note: If a competitor meets one of the 3 criteria above, he or she will automatically be classified for the French Elite XCM Championships.

Excluding French XCM Championships

The French XCM Elite and Masters Championships do not include :

  • non-licensed participants,
  • participants holding an FFC Loisir or Cyclosportive licence
  • participants who are not French nationals

D. Mandatory equipment and materials

A rigid helmet with chinstrap must be worn throughout the race.

For safety reasons, it is compulsory for each runner to carry the following with him throughout the course:

  • A survival blanket,
  • A cell phone – with charged battery,
  • Frame plate with emergency number and race number visibly attached.
  • Repair materials,
  • Drinks – especially water
  • Food reserve
  • Lighting kit for participants (for participants taking part in the 140km)
  • Safety pins to fasten your bib number
  • A cup for refreshments
  • Gloves and sunglasses are strongly recommended.

For MB EnduroThe compulsory equipment is different from other events. The equipment listed below is strictly compulsory on the special stages:

  • A helmet with fixed or detachable chin strap (CE),
  • Long gloves,
  • Knee pads,
  • Back protection (CE) or a backpack with CE-approved back protection
  • We strongly advise you to wear elbow pads.
  • Safety pins to fasten your bib number
  • A cup for refreshments

A helmet with one-piece chin strap (CE) must be worn on all mountain bike routes.. Il est vivement conseillé de porter des genouillères, gants longs, une protection dorsale (CE) ou un sac à dos avec protection dorsale homologué CE et des coudières.

The ends of the handlebars must be plugged beforehand.

Any competitor arriving at the start without compulsory equipment will be refused the start. If a competitor runs a special stage or liaison without all the compulsory equipment, he/she will be sanctioned by the race committee (penalty for the day on which the competitor did not wear the equipment, ranging from a time penalty to disqualification).

Competitors are solely responsible for ensuring that the equipment they use complies with current standards, and for its maintenance.

The frame plate supplied by the organization must be attached to the handlebars in such a way as to ensure good visibility. This plate and the race number are reserved for the organization’s official sponsors to the exclusion of all others, and must be kept in their original configuration.

Please note: The organizers reserve the right to check this equipment before the start, during the race or at the finish. Anyone not wearing all the required equipment will be disqualified from the race.

Competitors are solely responsible for ensuring that the equipment they use complies with current standards, and for its maintenance.

The frame plate supplied by the organization must be attached to the handlebars in such a way as to ensure good visibility. This plate and the race number are reserved for the organization’s official sponsors to the exclusion of all others, and must be kept in their original configuration.

A. Course

Course

All courses are marked with signs and tape. Participants also have access to a GPS trace of the course, a few days before the start of the race. The route through areas such as villages is supervised by volunteer signallers.

For the MB Ultra Somfy, a runner’s briefing will take place on Friday, July 4, 2025 at 6:00 pm in front of the podium in the Megève Exhibition Village. Attendance at the briefing is compulsory.

Official reconnaissance is scheduled from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, July 4, 2025. However, participants must respect private property. Les concurrents sont responsables des dommages qu’ils provoqueraient aux propriétés privées, en dehors des dates officielles de la « MB Race ». Si un participant remarque un défaut de balisage lors des reconnaissances officielles, il est tenu de le signaler à l’organisation.

Sanction

Failure to follow the course, taking shortcuts or using any other unfair means to gain an advantage over other competitors will result in immediate disqualification.

Control points

Time checkpoints will be set up all along the course. Failure to pass all checkpoints will result in disqualification. The commissaires’ panel will check all or some of the scores thus obtained.

Course modification

The organization reserves the right to modify the course at any time, in the interest of runners and their safety.

Respect for the environment

In view of the beauty of the region and the site hosting the race, we ask all participants to please respect the environment – do not throw garbage on the ground, do not go off the marked routes, etc. Receptacle zones will be set up in areas of the course such as the refreshment posts. Herds may be encountered on the course, and runners should avoid panicking. Failure to comply with these rules may result in penalties or disqualification.

Compliance with traffic regulations

Each rider must comply with the Highway Code on the sections open to traffic. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

B. Time barriers

Different time barriers are set up for each event. All competitors passing through these points after the set time barrier must stop the race. The times and locations of the time barriers are communicated to competitors via the website www.mb-race.com as well as when collecting race numbers. Time limits are subject to change at any time, including during the race if weather conditions so require.

C. Assistance

External assistance is forbidden in all races outside the designated areas (at refreshment points).

As stipulated in the regulations (art 4.2.048, UCI Cycling Sport Regulations), it is the responsibility of the rider or his team (UCI MTB or national team) to deposit the equipment in the technical assistance zone. Only the rider himself or one of his team-mates (from the same UCI MTB team or national team) may repair or change equipment in the zone. Technical assistance may also take place outside the zones, between team-mates of the same UCI MTB team or national team (art 4.2.049, UCI Cycling Sport Regulations).

Technical assistance zones are the same as feed zones. The number of zones is fixed at 3 (art 4.2.035, UCI Cycling Sport Regulations).

Changing bikes is strictly forbidden during the race.

D. Abandon

For safety reasons, any rider who abandons the race must either go to the nearest checkpoint (marshals or signallers) to announce his or her withdrawal, or telephone the “withdrawal” number indicated on the frame plate (distributed at registration). All withdrawals are final.

E. Safety

In the event of an accident, each rider is obliged to provide assistance to the injured party until organized rescue services can intervene.

F. Insurance

The organization takes out civil liability insurance underwritten by the FFC to cover your liability when organizing sporting events under the aegis of the FFC. FFC licensees are covered by their FFC license (third-party liability and individual accident).

If you are not a registered runner, you have no personal accident cover for the race. The organization strongly recommends that you take out insurance to cover personal injury during the race and in training, or check that your insurance contracts include this cover.

We strongly advise you to take out the insurance specially designed for you by our partner Assur Connect. This insurance covers search and rescue costs, repatriation assistance based on actual costs, medical, surgical and hospitalization costs for all, regardless of country of residence, and for residents of the European Union, death and disability benefits and personal liability for riders.

MB ultra Somfy | French Elite Marathon Championships

Two ELITES MTB XC Marathon French Champion titles will be awarded at the end of this competition – provided that at least 6 competitors take part in each category: Men’s and Women’s MTB XC Marathon Scratch Champion – over the 70 KM distance.

A maximum of 16 French MTB XC Marathon Masters titles will be awarded at the end of the competition:

The French XC Marathon Masters Champion jerseys will be awarded on condition that at least 3 competitors per age category for men and 2 competitors per age category for women are at the start.

In the event of insufficient numbers in each age category to award the French XC Marathon Masters Champion jerseys, riders will be allowed to compete in the next lower category for the acquisition of a jersey.

Male and female drivers meeting both ELITE and MASTERS criteria will be ranked in each of the ELITE and MASTERS results.

Should a rider meeting the ELITE and MASTERS criteria win the title of French ELITE Champion, he or she will also win the MASTERS title in his or her age category and stand on the podium wearing the French ELITE Champion jersey, but will not receive the French MASTERS Champion jersey.

Competitors must take part in the official ceremonies in rider’s clothing or official club or team clothing.

MB Ultra Somfy | Remaining rankings (excluding UCI and Championnat de France XCM)

A ranking will also be drawn up for all competitors not included in the French MTB Marathon XC Elites and Masters Championships rankings, or in the UCI MTB XCM Hors Classe rankings. For each of the three distances of the MB Ultra Somfy race: 70, 100 and 140 KM, a ranking and a prize-giving ceremony will be held to reward the first 5 men and the first 5 women, all categories included.

MB Explore

The winners in each category are the competitors who complete the entire course in the shortest possible time. A prize-giving ceremony will be held for the top three finishers in each category.

A ranking will be drawn up for the MB Explore 20km, 35km and 55km races.

MB Minimes

The winners are the competitors who complete the entire course in the shortest possible time. A prize-giving ceremony will be organized to reward the first three boys and girls.

MB Enduro

The winners in each category will be the competitors who complete all the stages in the shortest possible time. The rankings are calculated by totalling the times of all the stages completed during the day, plus any penalties. Complaints must be made to the race committee within 30 minutes of the results being posted. After this time, claims will be invalidated.

At the end of each event, prizes will be awarded to competitors according to their results in the scratch and category rankings.

The organizer cannot be held responsible if, for reasons beyond its control, the event has to be modified, shortened or cancelled. In such a case, registration fees and related costs will not be reimbursed.

Force majeure is defined as: security reasons, bad weather, terrorist attacks or any other unforeseeable, irresistible event beyond the control of the parties, which could result in the event not running smoothly.

Any changes to these rules, including in cases of force majeure, may be published on the mb-race.com event website. They will be considered as annexes to the present rules. All participants will be deemed to have accepted the change or modification from the date it comes into force, simply by taking part in the event.

The texts of the present regulations are governed by the Fédération Française de Cyclisme (F.F.C.) and more generally by the Union Cycliste Internationale (U.C.I.). Any article not covered in the present document automatically adopts the application defined in these reference texts.

The race committee reserves the right to modify the present rules at any time, in order to comply with regulations and to ensure the interest and safety of participants.

A. Claim

Complaints concerning the race itself or the behaviour of other competitors must be submitted to the race director or to the UCI and FFC referees within thirty minutes of the last competitor’s arrival.

Complaints concerning the classification must be lodged within thirty minutes of the posting of the final times.

B. Sanctions

Breaches of the rules set out in these regulations, attempts to cheat, disrespect for those involved in the organization, failure to pass through a control zone will be punished by the organizing committee (penalties, disqualification).

C. Image rights

Through its participation in MB RACE 2025each competitor expressly authorizes the MB Race (or its assignees) to use or have used or reproduce or have reproduced his or her name, image, voice and sporting performance in connection with the MB Race for any direct, indirect or derivative use of the event, in any medium, worldwide, by any means known or unknown to date, and for the entire duration of the protection currently granted to such direct or derivative uses by the legislative or regulatory provisions, judicial and/or arbitral decisions of any country, as well as by current or future international conventions, including any extensions that may be made to this duration.

D. Computer law

This operation is subject, where applicable, to the provisions of the French law “Informatique et Libertés” n°78-17 of January 6, 1978, including in particular, for the benefit of participants, the right to access, rectify or delete any information concerning them on all files used by the organizing company, by writing an e-mail, fax or letter.

E. Acceptance of the rules

Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of the present rules.
