Over the 140 km, you&#8217;ll have to tackle long climbs with steep gradients, as well as descents where you&#8217;ll be able to grab precious seconds. So choose your gear carefully!<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We therefore recommend that you don&#8217;t think too big in terms of gear ratio, as you need to be able to ride it for 140 km! A smaller gear will never bother you and will allow you to turn your legs well whatever the terrain, whereas a gear that&#8217;s too big will cause you a few problems over time&#8230; We therefore recommend a 28 or 30-tooth chainring. Bear in mind that a 32 or 34-tooth chainring will be very difficult to bring to bear over such a long distance with so much difference in altitude, especially at the end of the
